WWE – What the Men’s Division Could Learn from the Divas Division

This week on WWE Raw we saw Alicia Fox defeat Divas Champion Beth Phoenix with a clean win. I was shocked to say the least and I was wondering what was going on. What was different about this win was that it was not a cheap victory e.g. via a roll up rather it was a bona fide win. Beth Phoenix got beat by someone who was a jobber just months back. The Divas Division likes to do a heavy rotation between who is hot and who is not. Natalya has been on a losing streak after being a champion and she has been losing against chumps. Alicia Fox herself had been out of the spotlight for a long time. What I am trying to say is that in the Divas Division everybody has a chance for greatness. Competition and story lines do not become stale because when one feud gets boring they will push up the next diva and somebody will go down. A diva that was a jobber yesterday can become champion next week.

They should do the same with the men’s division. People think that if this were to happen people would stop watching but I beg to differ. Instead of keeping the championship amongst CM Punk, Cena, and Randy Orton, make some of the other wrestlers part of the championship rotation. There is no reason that Swagger, Barrett, Christian, R-Truth, Sheamus, and the Miz can’t be champions.

The fact is that WWE has already started doing this and this is why you have Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder as champions right now. What excitement!
